Sahi Capital, in plain answers.

What it is, who it is for, what it never does, and how it differs from the trading app that shares part of its name. The same answers, at length, are in the terms and the privacy notice.

What is Sahi Capital?
Sahi Capital is portfolio intelligence software for wealth advisors and mutual fund distributors in India. It reads each family’s statements, measures every portfolio each morning against the principles that family declared, ranks what has drifted, and prints the review. It never trades, holds no money, and is invite-only. It is not the Sahi trading app.
Is Sahi Capital the same as the Sahi trading app?
No. Sahi Capital (sahicapital.com) is portfolio intelligence software for wealth advisors and mutual fund distributors in India. It is not a trading app, not a broker and not related to sahi.com. It cannot buy or sell anything.
Who is it for?
Firms of wealth advisors: mutual fund distributors and registered investment advisers who look after families’ money and review each family’s portfolio. It is not a consumer product; a family sees their review because their advisor printed it.
Does it trade, recommend or advise?
No. It states what a family holds, what that family declared, and the distance between the two, ranked by how far and how much. Every decision is the advisor’s. It holds no exchange, AMC, RTA or bank credential and cannot place an order or move money.
What does it measure a portfolio against?
The principles the family declared, in their own words: how much in equity, what one holding may be, what gold is for, and the band either side they are content with. Not a model portfolio, a risk bucket or a benchmark.
Where does the data come from?
From statements the advisor brings: a CAMS consolidated account statement, an MFCentral export or a broker file. Every scheme is reconciled to the statement’s own closing balance. SIPs are read off the statement rather than declared, so a re-import cannot lose one.
Is it a SEBI-registered intermediary?
No. Sahi Capital is software. It is not a broker, distributor, custodian or adviser, and the advisor’s own registration and conduct rules apply to the advisor.
Where is the data kept, and who can see it?
The application and the database run in Mumbai. Each firm’s data is sealed from every other firm by row-level rules in the database. A client carries a name, an email and notes, and no PAN, date of birth or bank details. There is no analytics or tracking script.
How does sign-in work?
A code is emailed to the advisor each time. There is no password. Sessions end on their own after a period idle, and every signed-in device is listed under Settings.
How does a firm get access?
Firms are invited; there is no self-service sign-up. Write to hello@sahicapital.com and say how many families you look after.
What does it cost?
Pricing is agreed with each firm when it is invited. Write to hello@sahicapital.com.
